The Summer School organisers can arrange accommodation (bed and
breakfast) for participants in University rooms (see below). All
these are subject to availability, and will be allocated as bookings
are received. Alternatively participants may make use of hotels and
guest houses (see links below) by making their own arrangements.
The University is located in an area with lots of restaurants and
dining places (more details will be supplied at the Summer
School). It is assumed that participants will want to explore the
culinary scene themselves and no meals will be arranged except for
breakfast.
Accommodation should initially be reserved when applying for a place
on the Summer School (see details of applying for
places).
Accommodation should be paid for once your application is confirmed,
using the accommodation and payment form
(see details of paying for accommodation).
Any accommodation not paid for by July 28th will be
treated as cancelled, and may be offered to another participant.
If a participant cancels an accommodation booking
after payment, the payment will be refunded (less an administrative
charge of £15) if the cancellation is before July 28th or if we
are able to fill the place. Otherwise, no refund is possible.

Arriving at Pollock Halls
On arrival at Pollock Halls, report first to the reception centre.
If coming by taxi, the driver should be able to find this; show him the
map from the web if he has problems!
If arriving by bus, get off at the stop outside the Royal Commonwealth Pool.
Then walk back about 100 metres and take
the first turn on the right (up the side
of the Royal Commonwealth Pool). Walk another 100 metres (ignoring the
entrance to the Pool's car park) and the main Pollock entrance is on the
right. The Reception Centre is just inside on the left.
